The Case for a New Form of Organization in the Postpandemic, AI Agent, DOGE Era
My resolve to contribute to the improvement of the healthcare system has never been greater. Could we be overlooking a significant obstacle to achieving the transformation we seek? In this article, I argue that the traditional form of organization is antiquated and that leaders are asking the wrong questions when they ask how we get employees back to the office and how we address the worker shortage. In today’s postpandemic, AI agent, DOGE era, we are experiencing tension from an evolving workforce and workplace colliding with organizations that were designed for and flourished in the Industrial revolution. I propose a new form of organization that is fluid and morphs to match the speed of change and the complexity of today’s environment and includes both human workers and AI agents.
